At the Xinflix Spring Economic and Trade Forum, Hazel Hernández, the Consul General of El Salvador in Toronto, and Stanley Herrera, the principal of Salvadoran coffee brand FranCo, provided the attendees with detailed insights into the economic development and trade features of El Salvador from both macro and micro perspectives.
Hazel Hernández, the Consul General, began by discussing El Salvador’s recent economic development from a macro perspective. She highlighted that El Salvador is undergoing an economic transformation, implementing a series of reforms and policy incentives aimed at creating a more open and competitive economic environment. She emphasized the government’s efforts to attract foreign investment, improve infrastructure, and enhance education and skills training. Hernández also underscored El Salvador’s strategic position as a commercial hub in Central America. Additionally, she discussed the country’s ambitions to expand its tourism sector, introducing better policies to attract tourists from Asia and other regions to El Salvador.
